Our recent work on “Augmented glioma-targeted theranostics using multifunctional polymer-coated carbon nanodots” was accepted by Biomaterials . - 2017.5.24
In this work, a multifunctional peptide (I6P7), which can mediate the transportation of BBB, the targeted glioma recognition and the biological therapy, was covalently conjugated to polymer-coated carbon nanodots as a doxorubicin (DOX) vehicle for targeted visualized therapy of glioma. Meanwhile, the fluorescence imaging of tumor and real-time monitoring of drug release based on the fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) between polymer-coated carbon nanodots and DOX can be achieved in this system. This work was mainly accomplished by Shanshan Wang.
